Weight Loss Programs

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

There are many weight loss programs out there that claim they have the answer to all your problems. They say that if you follow their guidance step by step that you can lose weight even faster than you put it on. Most weight loss programs out there make big claims but show little results. They make it seem as though everyone is having incredible success by posting countless amount of testimonials on their pages. Although some of these programs may be legitimate, there are far too many that don’t even come close to living up to their claims. Most are HYPE. “Lose 20 lbs in 1 week”, some programs claim. Wow, that’s not just unrealistic, that’s out right unhealthy! If you lost 20 lbs in 1 weeks time, you must have done something seriously wrong to yourself. If you didn’t put on 20 lbs in one week, then don’t expect to lose 20 lbs in 1 week either. Give yourself some TIME!

So to continue, a lot of these weight loss programs just want your money. They are great at marketing and getting you into buying their products, but then when you get their product, you quickly realize that they don’t provide any real value. What’s even worse is that every day there are more companies being created that will further saturate an already value-deprived industry. This is why it is so important to actually do some quality research before actually purchasing someone’s product, book, or other information. Don’t buy impulsively just because you feel desperate. You will just end up wasting more time than if you did the research!

When buying any type of weight loss program online, you should look for certain factors. First of all, the author should have some sort of quality background and experience in the field. However, also know that it is not JUST about someone’s credentials. They may have the best credentials in the world, and yet produce low quality products which don’t deliver the results. This is why it is good to actually do a “google search”, for the author’s name and see if there are any negative comments about him/her. Go on a few forums and take a look at what some people have to say about the author. Also look to see if the author themselves have been on the forum to help other people and make quality posts which provide real value to the user. Look for any blogs that the author may have created to give out free information to people. Read the blog, and judge for yourself if it is quality or not. If you don’t know, then just take into consideration that they at least HAVE one and may help to build some trust between the author and you. There is also nothing wrong if the author is promoting their product, but if that’s all you see then they are probably just in it for the money. However, if you find that they post relevant information, that you can actually sit down and think about and apply, then they probably do really want to make a difference in your life. Also beware of some users on forums that just like to bash other people’s hard work. They most likely have never tried the weight loss program or product before, and are just creating a negative space for other people. Don’t just rely on one factor, but put all the pieces together yourself from evaluating all factors possible.

Secondly, look if the weight loss program has an “unconditional no questions asked money back guarantee”, even if it is just for 30 days (preferably 60 days). This way, you can give the product a fair trial, and if you don’t like the results, then you can ask the author for your money back. This protects you from any person that may have not your best interest at heart. Before buying any weight loss program, make sure to look for the money back guarantee!

Thirdly, read their website fully and see if their research is based on solid scientific studies and not just testimonials of people’s experience. You want to see if their program is backed by real evidence that proves to be effective. Look for solid facts on their website. Look for professionalism. This can help you decide if it is a well researched and written product.

Lastly, look for support. See if the author of the weight loss program is offering support, and if you can contact them whenever you have a question. Look to see if there is a support forum as well, as you can interact with the people who are like minded and have the same goals is you. Community is a very valuable asset, and can keep you motivated, as well as making friends. There is nothing like great support from the author, their support team, as well as community members!

Overall, put all the pros and cons side by side, and see if this product is worth trying for the next while. If it looks good, feels good to you, and other people think its good, then it probably is. In the end, YOU have to go through the process, and it is YOUR valuable time. You can easily buy any weight loss program you see on impulse, but you have to ask yourself the question: Is what I’m purchasing really worth it, or am I just falling for another hyped product? You be the judge!
